  2. Kia Ora Ruby,

My name is Rachel and I am working on the Summer Learning Journey blogging programme. It is great to see that you have completed four activities already for the SLJ. We really hope that you have enjoyed learning a little bit more about this amazing country that we call home. I must admit that I learned a lot from making the programme. For example, I did not know that fish usually swim together in groups called 'schools.' It is an odd name for a group of animals, isn't it? I have now learned that there are special names that are used to refer to all groups of animals. For example, a group of lions is called a 'Pride' and a group of geese is called a 'Gaggle.' I wonder who it was who first came up with these names...

I can see from our blog that you have a cat and a dog. If you end up with a group of cats, they are apparently called a 'Clowder' and a group of dogs is called a 'Pack.'

I hope that you will continue learning with us throughout the summer holiday. We will be online each day and the programme will remain open until Friday 25 January 2019. Please hop back online anytime to post another activity and our group with read it, give you points and provide a comment!

Hope to see you online again soon.

    Cheers,
    Rachel :)
