Responding to feedback

During lunch I heard Dad say. "We are going to Dixon Park."
I knew this was going to be the perfect day.

it was a long trip to Dixon Park. It took about ten minutes but it seemed like one hour.  I was pleased when we arrived.

A little while after we got out of the car, I saw Shilah and her two younger brothers.
I ran to her then we both ran down under the bridge, it was really muddy and we had to take our shoes off. We noticed  paintings  on the walls and a creek running under the bridge.

Then we ran to the merry go round. There was water underneath. It was fun because when the merry go round stopped we put our feet in the water. The water was warm in parts and hot in other parts.
Shilah’s Mum had fish and chips for her family. She offered me some so I joined them but only had a little.

Then it was time to go. I had a great day at Dixon Park.

The Perfect Day

I am learning to make my writing more interesting for the reader. I know I will be able to do this when I add more detail, interesting words and include what I see, hear, smell and feel.

We have been learning to make connections to the people and places that are important to us.

My Taonga is a shell.

I have chosen my Taonga because it reminds me of my family  because my mum found it Nelson Creek river.

The place I connect to is Nelson Creek because my mum found it Nelson Creek river.

I have been able to make connections to Lochlan  because we have or we are both connected to Nelson creek.
